Role Summary/Purpose

Responsible for all entry level layout activities, including, but not limited to, first article, tool inspections, gage correlations, CMM support, tool correlations, and customer print verification; maintain layout equipment and certifications.

Essential Responsibilities

In addition you will :

Responsible to the department supervisor for the completion of all assigned tasks in a prompt and efficient manner

Work with other associates, as needed, to complete work assignments

Ensure clear, concise, accurate records are kept for compliance with JTI's quality system

Knowledgeable regarding other department functions relevant to optimizing performance and understanding layout responsibilities

Interfacing with all facets of engineering and manufacturing

Ensure proper communications is maintained regarding layout responsibilities to complete an assigned task with the customer

Support CMM equipment and software, as well as optical comparators

Maintain department equipment and support efforts for continuous improvement and EHS

Provide timely support for DSQR audit dimensions in preparation for shipment

Qualifications/Requirements

High School diploma with Technical background

Background in inspection procedures and principles, as well as competent math skills (including trigonometry)

Computer experience desired (desk top and / or CMM programming)

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
