Essential Responsibilities

Review routers, procedures, specification, and other instructions for completeness and instructions to perform operation. Process part(s) in accordance with procedures and technical instructions to evaluate for weld, braze and/or casting discontinuities exceeding requirements specified. Work with X-ray generating equipment (X-ray). Set-up, operate, calibrate and perform Process Control Checks on NDE equipment by following established instructions and record results. Develop techniques for approval (X-ray), interpret, evaluate and report evaluation results as required and outlined. Fill out required logs and statistical data sheets (as required). Clean equipment and ensures it is working properly, and clean and maintain work area as needed. Maintain required job skills and knowledge of requirements (including. procedures, specifications, etc.)

Qualifications/Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Successfully pass entry level and progressive testing

Successfully pass vision screen

Able to lift up to approximately 25 pounds. May occasionally lift 50 pounds (with assistance)

Produces error free products and accurately completes paperwork

History of working effectively with co-workers, managers, and other employees in a team environment

Willing to cross-train in other NDT methods (ref AL-022)

Available to work scheduled hours and as needed, available to work extended or flexible schedule on short notice.

Able to work under general direction with minimal supervision.

Blueprint Reading

Understanding of Elano manufacturing processes and defects associated with these processes as they relate to NDT

Understanding of written instructions, procedures, and specifications related to the applicable NDT process(es)

Desired Characteristics

History of meeting or exceeding job requirements

History of accepting and giving constructive criticism

Positive attitude and ambition to excel / advance in skills and knowledge
