Job Description

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related specialized area or field, or equivalent experience is required.

Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for an Entry-Level Power Converter Engineer to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to build and ensure highly reliable analog electronic designs.

Areas you will use and develop the skills you learned in college Include research, design, develop and test electronic equipment and systems at GDMS including: Low Voltage Power Conversion and Power Distribution in support of communications equipment and systems, analog and digital computers, and control and test equipment. The Entry-Level Power Converter Engineer will support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the GDMS culture and strategies to further ensure our services are consistent with, and remain superior to, industry best practices. You'll also be involved with DC-DC converter design, Space Electronics Design , and disciplined Worst Case Analysis .

You will also participate in:

* Requirements Analysis as it applies to the overall power distribution of Unit & module level
* Detailed Analog Simulations
* Anomaly Resolution
