General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Entry-Level Systems/Digital Signal Processing Engineer to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to create and manage various GDMS and client technologies. Key Responsibilities
As an Entry-Level Systems/Digital Signal Processing Engineer you will analyze, design, develop and test GDMSs systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort.

Additional areas in which you will use and grow your skills include:
Formulating operational concepts Performing mission, functional, cost-benefit and risk analysis Selecting systems architecture and preparing specifications for GDMS operating systems to ensure designs meet applicable security specifications You may also be asked to document security on both new and fielded information systems or provide accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure all technical security features are considered and functioning properly

Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the GDMS culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure GDMS services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices

Basic Qualifications:

Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of various engineering systems and the ability to further advance GDMS technology.

The Entry-Level Systems/Digital Signal Processing Engineer position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a similar specialized area, field or the equivalent and at least zero to two years of related work experience. Applicants with a Master's degree are also eligible.

Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications (Preferred):

DSP & COMM background and/or course work from an MSEE
