We have an exciting opportunity for an entry level Flight Test Engineer to join our team here in Mission Systems.


* Design, build and maintain data recording equipment and software to be used during system test events
* Develop and maintain data post processing and analysis software tools and procedures
* Conduct detailed data post processing and analysis of system level data collected during test events
* Author reports detailing test/analysis results to include engineering/program level decision recommendations based on the results of the test
* Perform systems integration and test as well as mission planning for flight tests of multiple sensors.
* Plan, manage, execute and report on multi-faceted system level test programs.
* Interface with team members from all levels in order to help programs run efficiently and effectively while maintaining good test discipline throughout the program.
* Support operation of engineering systems and document any problems.
* Participate in flight operations of Manned and Unmanned aircraft operating sensor systems to include the construction of target decks, mission planning, dynamic re-tasking, collection of imagery and maintaining databases.
* Process images; integrate and operate computer systems and peripheral equipment.
* Troubleshoot conflicting design/development requirements, difficult coordination requirements, and special material requirements.
* Provide documentation and make technical presentations as required.
* Typically requires a bachelors degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
* Must be able to develop mission timelines and plan missions to meet all test objectives and coordinate ground support.
* Must be able to develop and review test plans, simulation and flight test cards and able to conduct software and hardware testing.
* Ability to create flight test reports and analyze flight test and simulation data and assess system performance and provide detailed descriptions of anomalies to software and hardware teams.
* Must be able to prioritize and multi-task while conducting test flights.
* Ability to perform data analysis of radar flight and simulation data is required.
* Candidate needs to have strong analytical ability to interpret radar imagery and produce detailed reports pursuant to customer requirements.
* Must possess strong communication skills necessary to write and record precise information.
* Position will require the ability to travel.
* A background in radar systems and sensor fusion/integration is highly desired.
* Prior experience planning medium to large-scale flight tests/exercises is desired.
* Previous aircrew experience operating EO/IR sensors is preferred.
* Previous experience conducting MQ-9 Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) testing and operating the Lynx Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) on both manned and unmanned airframes is preferred.
* Previous experience operating an EO/IR sensor on manned platforms preferred.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance is required.
