Overview

Generac Power Systems - Work with the leader in the power industry and begin your exciting career today! Our Corporate office in Waukesha, WI is seeking a Continous Improvement Intern to join our Corporate Marketing Team.

The Continuous Improvement Intern will support the corporate team by developing enterprise standards to support a demand driven philosophy and approach across the entire value chain. This position will assist in process improvement initiatives by implementing policies, procedures and process documentation related to safety, quality and continuous improvement directives.

You will be writing procedures, organizing standard documents, preparing charts and reports and presentations. Good communication skills with all levels of the organization are required.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Participates in preparing classroom material and updating dashboards and communications related to the Generac Lean Academy and its students;
* Helps with training needs in support of new procedures and standards and the Generac Lean Academy;
* Organizes documents, standards, policies and procedures within our document control system;
* Writes articles highlighting success throughout the corporation;
* Upload and organize documents on our intranet for the entire organization to access;
* Prepares charts and reports in support of the operations team;
* Prepares presentations in support of the deployment of standard Generac tools, methodologies, standards, practices and processes;
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

* Enrolled in an Bachelors Degree program;

Additional Qualifications:

* Working towards a degree in Engineering preferred;
* Demonstrates relentless drive and determination to achieve success;
* Ability to communicate with Management, Teams and individuals across multiple cultures, disciplines and geographies;
* Must be detail oriented with an attention to eliminating variation or inconsistencies in documents and systems;
* Professional manner and personal maturity;
* Strong organization and time management skills;
* Solid quantitative skill set and the ability to analyze, think and communicate with well-supported data;
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Visio skills are a plus;
* The ability to work a minimum of 15 hours during the school year is preferred
