sought by Gen-Probe Inc. in San Diego, CA to dsgn, dvlp, debug & unit test embedded firmware to control molecular diagnostic instruments. Reqs a Bach's deg in Comp Engg or related field + 2 yrs of firmware dvlpmt exp. Will also accept a Master's deg in Comp Engg or related field + 6 months of firmware dvlpmt exp. Exp must incl 6 months of exp w/ each of the following: embedded C/C++ prgmg; embedded system dvlpmt incl working in real-time system & scheduling algorithm (debugging using oscilloscopes, in circuit debugger, bus analyzers); Microchip microcontroller dvlpmt exp using MPLAB IDE & Harmony platform; near field communication incl RFID technology & vicinity tags; unit & integration testing of embedded firmware; DC & stepper motor controllers, heater controllers & sensor technology; MKS Source Control System & Agile methodologies; serial communication using CAN, I2C, RS232 & SPI.
