Job Description

As a Software Engineer for Card Development Group in Austin, TX, you will be working in an international environment doing new product development, customization and testing. This is an ideal entry level position for engineers who want to see how their work can help secure the digital lives of millions of people.

A week in the life of a Software Engineer:

* You will develop and validate applications and operating systems for smart cards.
* You will work on customization of existing applications and operating systems.
* You will test and analyze smart cards, devices and mobile networks.
* You will occasionally develop handset or desktop applications.
* You will do on-site testing and customer support during product deployment.
* To succeed at this job, you must have: proficiency in procedural and object-oriented programming such as C, Java or JavaCard, strong knowledge of the limitations and techniques of embedded software development and basic understanding of microcontrollers' hardware.
* It would be preferred if you have a Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, basic understanding of modern cryptographic algorithms and secure coding, knowledge of possible attacks, software countermeasures.
* You must be proficient in English.
* We would like someone to join our team who is a strong verbal and written communicator, logical and creative problem-solver, open-minded and a quick learner.
* You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
* We are looking for someone with 0 - 2 years of experience in a software engineering position or a related role.
