GEICO's Pricing, Product, & Reserving department is seeking a supervisor to join our team.

As a Product Modeling Supervisor you will be leading analysts in pulling, cleaning, and validating large data sets, applying statistical modeling and analysis techniques, and presenting and communicating your proposals to all levels of management, including regional and corporate executives. You will be part of a team that is focused on innovation: trying new modeling techniques, devising new metrics, and tackling complex questions that the company has never tried to answer before.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

* Train and validate complex statistical models on large data sets
* Develop and improve models for risk assessment and policyholder behavior
* Develop and evaluate alternative product designs
* Automate, validate, and optimize computational performance of analytical tools to support business decisions
* Interpret and present results of models to all levels of management
* Handle supervisory responsibilities, including performance reviews, motivation, talent development, and job application evaluation
* Train others on statistical modeling techniques and methods

Candidate Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Predictive Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Operations Research, or related field
* 5 years' experience in related field, or 2 years' experience with Master's degree
* Supervisory experience with a track record of successful leadership results
* Demonstrated ability in statistical analyses, particularly in economic or financial contexts
* Experience with insurance pricing and underwriting models preferred
* Familiarity with generalized linear models; regularized regression and/or hierarchical models; decision trees and tree-based ensemble methods; and unsupervised learning techniques
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Strong skills in R, SAS, or other statistical modeling language; experience with SQL and/or general-purpose programming languages encouraged

Salary Information:

$72,000 - $85,000
