Are you ready to apply your IT and financial knowledge to have impact on the IT budget for the 2nd largest insurance company in the US? If so, read on.

GEICO is the prominent digital company going through some of the most innovative transformations in technology. GEICO's IT Planning and Budgeting team is responsible for managing the overall budget and planning process for GEICO's IT operations. You will be challenged to research and identify variations and trends within the IT spend. You will also be challenged to find ways to reduce costs and forecast the spend within IT.

Some of the core responsibilities of the position include:

* Developing and implementing the IT department's annual business plan and consult on the budget process by working with IT management
* Analyzing and forecasting the spend within IT
* Validating and analyzing data flowing through various budget and planning systems
* Preparing reports and briefings by extracting data, and presenting to IT management
* Seeking ways to improve processes and accountability in the IT department by tracking, monitoring and analyzing data to ensure proper allocation, use and status of funds, as well as resolving financial discrepancies.

To achieve success in this position, the applicant must be able to conduct independent research and budget reviews of financial statements, analyze and formulate recommendations, and follow through with execution while abiding by strict ethical standards of integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems with a minor in Business (Accounting, Finance, or Economics) with an overall GPA of at least 3.0
* Demonstrated analytical skills as demonstrated by coursework or prior work experience
* Leverage productivity tools, such as MS Office Suite (including excel and access)
* Lead smaller scaled projects, meet deliverables & dates
* Excellent written and oral communications

Preferred Qualifications:

* 1 to 3 years of experience working in accounting and budgeting within an IT organization
* Analytical skills as demonstrated by prior work experience
* Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot/Power Pivot/Power BI/Macros)
* Experience with IBM Cognos TM1

Salary Information:

Starting salary $57,000 - $66,000 (commensurate with education and experience)
