Posted Position Title Engineer 2 - Testing Career Level Entry-Level Function Engineering/Technology Function Segment Design Engineering Location(s) Where Opening Is Available United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces Ohio City Evendale Postal Code 45215-1988 Relocation Assistance No Role Summary/Purpose The Lead Engineer will be accountable for developing dimensional inspection solutions and contribute to the overall NDE strategy for the CMC lean lab. The engineer demonstrates accountability for some functional, business and broad company objectives. The engineer will focus on supporting the CMC lean lab and related shops with metrology solutions. You will work with state of the art metrology systems and work to both prototype processes and refine existing process to a production ready state. Essential Responsibilities
In addition you will :
Demonstrate ability to program CMM's and comply with aviation quality standards for part conformance
Functional knowledge of PCDMIS
Experience with programming and setting up vision system routines for part conformance
Execute and provide guidance for the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements
Define and develop product processes related to design, analysis, test, materials, manufacture, quality and / or productivity
Identify need for technical and program reviews within the organization, lead and participate in the technical reviews
Demonstrate ability to monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate
Assure proper documentation of technical data or programs generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules and contract commitments, develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 4 years of experience in an engineering, IT, scientific or other technical position). Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Familiarity with QC-Calc or other SPC software
Functional with Quindos programming language
In-depth understanding of engineering technology and tools
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Experience in a non-destructive testing environment
Ability to work independently.
Strong problem solving skills.
