As a Technical Product Analyst in Aviation Digital Operations, you will operate in lock-step with product management to create a clear strategic direction for build needs, and convey that vision to the service's scrum team.

You will direct the team with a clear and descriptive set of requirements captured as stories and partner with the team to determine what can be delivered through balancing the need for new features, defects, and technical debt.

Essential Responsibilities

In addition you will :

Work with architects on delivering product roadmaps, and own delivery of technology solutions

Engage frequently (80%) with the development team: facilitate discussions, provide clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities

Apply Agile principles to translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units through problem decomposition and planning

Own and manage the backlog; continuously order and prioritize to ensure that 1-2 sprints / iterations of backlog are always ready

Lead technology refreshes and upgrades

Lead design and testing of new technologies

Partner with technical product architecture team and operations team to transition features and updates into the environment

Life-cycle management of all in-scope technologies

Work with operations and architecture teams to manage capacity, performance, and availability; support efforts to improve these through performance tuning, capacity additions, redesign, etc.

Support operations as an L2 / L3 escalation point and subject matter expert

Provide influence over decisions within own discipline - strong communication and diplomacy skills

Communicate recommendations and solutions across direct organization and with cross-functional partner organizations


Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and / or Math), or related field from an accredited university

or college

(Or 2 year Associates Degree from an accredited school or institution with minimum of 2 years of experience in Information technology or engineering,

Or High School Diploma / GED with minimum of 4 years of experience in information technology or engineering)


Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government TOP SECRET security clearance

Deep expertise in one or two core IT technologies (infrastructure, Windows, Linux, virtualization, etc.)

Experience working with external customers, especially in the defense industry

Experience with customer and stakeholder negotiations

Demonstrated ability to balance conflicting priorities to find mutually-beneficial solutions
