This individual will be responsible for supporting complex product developments and be responsible for the design of analog and digital electronic control circuits. Innovative problem solving, component selection, analysis, troubleshooting, verification and validation activities will also be important aspects of this position. Essential Responsibilities

Possess strong communication skills to work with all levels of leadership inside the company as well as create and deliver proposals to external customers of varying technical experience
Ability to collaborate with internal and external customers to identify and balance competing requirements as well as provide new and innovative solutions
A passion to move quickly using "Lean Startup" concepts and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) prototypes
Perform detailed analog and digital circuit design and schematic capture for challenging environmental conditions (Thermal, vibration and EMC)
Understand and apply control theory to tune closed loop control systems in the electrical or software domains
Provide mentorship, guidance and direction to new engineers and interns
Review emerging technologies and promote dialog of trends within the engineering community Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical (or similar) engineering from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering, scientific or related technical role
High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in an engineering, scientific or related technical role Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Technical expertise in:
* Analog and digital circuit designs such as: filters, amplifiers, signal conditioning, power supplies and microcontrollers
* Design for EMC as well as testing, troubleshooting and mitigation
* Closed loop control concepts
* Modeling / simulation such as: PSpice, Matlab or Simulink
* Thermal management techniques for electronics
Embedded software / Firmware development experience, especially in a DO-178 compliant environment
Experience in electrical motors and / or electromechanical design principles
Background and understanding aircraft power systems or air management systems
Understanding of military and commercial qualification specifications such as: MIL-STD-704 and DO-254
