Job Description

You have two seconds to grab (and keep) someone's attention online … do you know what it takes and can you do it?

Working with some of the most engaged coworkers in the world, you'll be part of a global marketing and communications team whose mission is to share Gallup's voice. As a digital marketing summer intern, you'll help us grow our brand awareness and fuel our business growth online. You'll be heavily involved in all things related to SEO and social media, monitoring our website performance and running key-word research. Whether it's researching the best tactics for engaging with our key audiences or running competitive analyses on targeted companies, you'll work on projects that help us change the world.

Who we want:

Curious marketers. You have a natural yearning to understand digital growth strategies like paid search, search engine optimization and social media advertising. Fortunately for you, this role gives you ample opportunities to perform deep-dive research into customer intent, journey analytics and link reputations. Working with Google Analytics and SEO tools such as SEMrush, Alexa and MOZ, you'll do more than just learn something new, you'll get certified.

Detail-oriented analysts. Metrics matter, but context is critical. You help us see the bigger picture by analyzing key metrics such as conversions, click-through rates, post-engagement and lead generation, translating marketing analytics KPIs into recommendations for business growth.

Social media gurus. Obviously. From monitoring trending topics and engaging in social conversations relevant to our brand, to helping create and publish content across social platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, you help Gallup stay at the top of people's minds. Something's going viral? Tweets are blowing up? #YoureAlreadyAllOverIt

Creative storytellers. The saying "a picture is worth a thousand words" resonates with you. Leveraging digital analytics, you know what our audience wants to see (and where they want to see it) and you're able to tell a powerful story using images, videos and insightful content.

What you need:

* Availability to work between 20-40 hours per week during summer 2020 in the Omaha riverfront office
* Must be at least a junior in college and working toward a bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, communications or a related field
* Must attend a four-year college or university within the Omaha/Lincoln, NE area
* Must be authorized to work in the United States

What we offer:

* A paid summer internship with some of the best coworkers you'll ever meet
* A collaborative environment across teams and functions
* Individualized projects based on your greatest areas of interest and expertise
* A potential opportunity to join Gallup full time
* A strengths-based, engagement-focused and performance-oriented culture
* Flexible work environment
* World-class managers who support, position, empower and engage you
* Ongoing learning and development opportunities
* Mission-driven work that changes the lives of people around the world

Accepting applications from Tuesday, September 3rd through Sunday, November 3rd, 2019.
