Position Summary:

The Business Analyst will support the data and analytics initiatives at Arthur J. Gallagher. The analyst will research data trends to assist leaders in formulating strategic plans, craft new analyses based on cutting edge analytical techniques and provide structure to data flows from a wide variety of sources. Focus will be on building new and upgrading existing, insights, tools, databases and processes.

Responsibilities:

* Advise on in-production data base improvements, and build Ad Hoc databases.
* Apply advanced statistical and analytical techniques to complex datasets.
* Evaluate and profile new data sources. Analyze data sets independently and benchmark against known data.
* Build new key performance indicators and analysis of existing and new data sources.
* Analyzes external/internal trends and developments and presents findings to management.
* Present findings using visualization and other forms of communication.

Required:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
* 3 years related experience required including project support
* Understanding of budgeting and financial management processes
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred:

*
* Degree in quantitative field, such as data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, finance, or economics.
* Ability to provide written and oral interpretation of highly specialized terms and data to team members.
* Formal project management training or certification
* Experience with Microsoft Visio and Project

Work Traits:

* Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Good analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong attention to detail.

U.S. Eligibility Requirements:
