As a Field Training Officer, you will provide training to the uniformed officers at any of this client's sites, ensuring that such training meets or exceeds requirements set forth in policy, contracts, and applicable laws. This person serves as the onsite Field Training Officer for all matters relating to the protection of client's company and customer assets, as well as the safety of all associates and visitors to the facility. When not conducting training, the Field Training Officer will perform relief for all operational management and security officer duties at various job sites, including but not limited to: interior/exterior unarmed foot/vehicle patrols, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, compose reports, deter criminal activity and violations of client policies, and other duties as required by post orders.

$500 and $250 bonuses payable after 90 and 30 days of continuous employment, respectively. Bonus amounts are subject to applicable federal and state income withholdings.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

* Conduct training for security personnel reporting to the area/branch office (e.g. state licensing, contract specific compliance, annual refresher courses)
* Assemble training programs specific to local customer needs and ensure proper inclusion in Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Competency Management function and other training records
* Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
* Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
* Sound alarms or call police/fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
* Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
* Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
* Prepare reports as required and provide assistance to site visitors and client employees in a courteous and professional manner
* Assist in ensuring the facility meets all federal, state and local safety regulations and client safety and security policies and procedures
* Assist client security manager with serving as the liaison with local police, fire, and other Government agencies as required to ensure they are familiar with the facility in the event of an emergency and must render assistance
* Implement emergency action plans and schedule emergency evacuation drills

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
* Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
* Must possess a current and valid driver's license

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

* Have one or more of the following
* Associate's degree or higher in any discipline
* Service in the active duty military, military reserve or National Guard
* Service in auxiliary police or cadets
* Meaningful and verifiable work history
* Minimum of one year verifiable and successful security experience



Skills Required

* Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
* Effective oral and written communication skills
* Active listening skills
* Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
* Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
* Attention to detail

Other

* Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
* Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
* Must be able to work flexible schedules
* Ability to interface with people at all levels with the client
* Strong interpersonal, written, oral and problem solving skills
* Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
* Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold/heat

Major activity: Working on PC, walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, limited stretching and reaching.
