About the Opportunity:

We are currently recruiting 2019 summer Interns for our Finance & Securities and International Arbitration practice in our New York, NY office.

Interns are involved in nearly all facets of a case, interacting closely with Economists, Case Managers, and Experts to provide research and data analysis underpinning final work product. With guidance from industry leading practitioners and managers with decades of experience, Interns are given the opportunity to help navigate complex economic and financial problems in the context of high-stakes litigations and arbitrations.

Major Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with Analysts, Economists, Senior Managers, and Experts to develop innovative approaches to analyze complex economic issues.

* Conduct detailed research on relevant topics ranging from case-specific matters to the overall industry contours.

* Prepare memoranda and present qualitative research findings to Experts.

* Identify, acquire, and evaluate quantitative data.

* Build and implement quantitative economic and financial models to provide key support for Experts' arguments.

* Review and interpret case-specific documents to support case strategy with a thorough understanding of all facts pertinent to the project.

* Produce report exhibits and audit work streams to ensure the highest level of quality control over all work products.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a leading university and/or demonstrates a strong academic background. Majors in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or Mathematics are a plus. Rising juniors and seniors preferred.

* Demonstrated ability in quantitative analysis and qualitative research.

* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

* Strong attention to detail, as well as time management and multitasking skills.

* Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

* Basic knowledge of SAS, STATA, or other statistical software packages is a plus (Securities & Finance Team).

* Fluency in Spanish is a plus (International Arbitration Team).
