Job Description

The Accounting Intern will support Accounting department leadership and team members on various ad-hoc projects, reports and financial analyses.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Delivery of timely and accurate revenue and expense results for month-end close financial reporting
* Investigation of variances in month-end analytics
* Completion of balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner
* Post monthly accruals based on GAAP guidelines for company revenue and expenses
* Conduct ad-hoc projects, reports and financial analyses as determined by senior management

Job Requirements:

* Must be available to work part-time or full-time for 4 months
* Must be currently pursuing an Accounting degree
* Preference given to candidates that have completed at least two (2) years of undergraduate-level coursework or to those enrolled in a graduate program

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills
* Ability to work independently and take initiative on assigned projects
* Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
* Demonstrated understanding of basic economic, financial and accounting principles
* Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
* Ability to function well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
