Job Description

Position Overview

Freddie Mac's Costing and Credit Risk Transfer (CRT) group within the Single-Family Division is seeking a Pricing Professional to support a team responsible for supporting new and existing business initiatives/offerings, pricing, and credit risk transfer activities.

Responsibilities include:

* Work (generally in concert with more experienced personnel) with pricing, offerings, costing and CRT personnel to help identify the appropriate analyses to respond to questions, issues, or market developments at hand
* Help research regulatory and market factors that drive customer and investor decisions to help us design products and programs that meet those needs
* Execute existing costing, analytical and reporting processes, and streamline and document where needed/appropriate
* Partner with others to improve infrastructure for a reporting and analytics hub or repository for use by costing/CRT and others
* Credit Analytics: Execute third party and proprietary tools to analyze economics and value of credit risk transfer structures. Provide analysis of structures, ideas and transactions.
* Maintain and streamline key End User Computing systems
* Projects as assigned by management: Candidate will need to support various ad hoc and on-going requests. This may include governance support, e.g. audit, development of procedures, records management, or other needs as identified by management.

Qualifications

* 2 plus year of work experience
* College degree in an area pertinent to the position, e.g., finance, accounting, math, statistics, economics, business or related.
* Very strong facility with spreadsheet software; familiarity with basic data management tools and/or statistical tools (e.g., SAS)

* Flexibility, versatility, inquisitiveness, resourcefulness
* Ability to work reasonably independently
* Knowledge of Freddie Mac operations and secondary mortgage market
* Advanced degree and/or concentrated studies in higher level courses in Economics, Statistics, Math, Finance, Physics and other quantitative fields.
* Leadership potential - comfort reaching out to others and helping to lead tasks that require multiple parties on a project
* Exceptional quantitative, analytical and communication skills
* Experience building or working with models
* Good communication skills - both verbally and writing, ideally skills in distilling detailed findings and observations into summary conclusions for management to readily consume.
