Position Overview

Analysts will have the opportunity to lead impactful projects very early in their careers, participate on highly visible initiatives, and work alongside experienced portfolio managers and traders.

This program is designed to develop analysts with a strong understanding of the financial system and capital markets, as analysts learn how to structure and price cash flows and trades and develop the core skillsets necessary to be a well-rounded portfolio manager.

With a focus on some of the most complex and challenging strategic issues facing the Freddie Mac, analysts will be expected to learn quickly and operate in a fast-paced transaction focused environment, often working on multiple priorities. Time management, proactive problem solving, and comfort with complexity are necessary skills.


* 3.0 GPA or above
* Demonstrated interest in finance and capital markets through academic and professional experience
* Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders across the firm and interact with global investors/clients
* The program is seeking top candidates graduating in the following disciplines: Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, and other related fields.

About Freddie Mac

Freddie Mac is engaged in purchasing residential mortgages and mortgage-related securities in the secondary mortgage market and securitizing them into mortgage-related securities that can be sold to investors. The Company purchases single-family and multifamily mortgage-related securities for its mortgage-related investments portfolio. It also purchases multifamily residential mortgages in the secondary mortgage market and hold those loans either for investment or sale. Freddie Mac finances purchases of its mortgage-related securities and mortgage loans, and manages its interest-rate and other market risks, primarily by issuing a variety of debt instruments and entering into derivative contracts in the capital markets.
