Job Description

Job Title: High Voltage Energy Storage and Distribution Engineer, Electrified Powertrain Engineering

Responsibilities:

Lead core Design and Release activities for on-going product development of electrified vehicle high voltage energy storage and distribution Lead suppliers in root cause analysis and product revisions to resolve field issues per warranty or quality part returns This technical position will offer an engineer the chance to apply knowledge and business acumen in a role that is shaping the future of the automotive industry Lead core Design and Release activities for on-going product development of electrified vehicle high voltage energy storage and distribution Lead suppliers in root cause analysis and product revisions to resolve field issues per warranty or quality part returns Monitor and drive robust 8Ds from suppliers including support of fishbone analysis and development of unique test methods to replicate failure modes found in the field Support FCSD hotline staff by reviewing dealer technician issues and making suggestions on repairs Revise dealer work shop manuals as required Interface with FCSD for timely closure of Quick Service Fix (QSF) support of technical communications to dealers via Technical Service Bulletins (TSB), Special Service Messages (SSM), and Internal Service Messages(ISM) Lead design & release activities to implement in-cycle revisions Understand and adhere to NA and Eu standards and regulations, SAE requirements, UL requirements/ certification and NEC Conduct Design Reviews and Quality Reviews with management Lead design verification testing plans and execution Support next generation high voltage energy storage and distribution component designs

Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications: BS Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Successful completion of an Engineering Internship 1 or more years computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous electrified vehicle experience a plus Ability to grasp new topics and concepts quickly Team player with good collaborative problem-solving skills Experience with 8D process is a plus Adept at working across organizational boundaries to accomplish tasks Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently Proven oral and written communication skills
