Global Product Development is developing high quality products and high quality people Product Development (PD) engineers are responsible for delivering exciting products that are world class in cost, quality, function and time to market. Our goal is to provide you a meaningful and challenging PD assignment that directly contributes to the Company business objectives. Intern assignments are typically project based and include a hands-on experience that will develop you technically and professionally. Over the course of 12-weeks, the summer intern program also lets you build a network of friends and contacts, learn about living and playing in Palo Alto, California, learn valuable skills and see what Ford Motor Company is all about. It is an opportunity for you to prove yourself to us - and let us prove ourselves to you!

We are currently looking to hire Interns for the following areas:

Research & Advanced Engineering (R&A)

Connected Vehicle & Services (CV&S)

Autonomous Vehicle Development

Machine Learning

Cyber-Security

Software Development and Engineering

Design/User Experience

IT Research

Marketing

Data Analytics

Electrical & Electronics Systems Engineering (EESE)

Minimum Requirements for the Product Development Intern Program:

* Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's Degree or PhD's in one of the following fields:
* Mechanical Engineering
* Electrical and Electronic Engineering
* Computer Engineering or Computer Science
* Aerospace, Biomedical, Chemical, and other Engineering disciplines in key areas
* Business (with engineering background)
* 3.0 overall GPA minimum
* Graduation date between December 2017 and August 2018, limited opportunities for May 2019 graduates

Preferred Requirements:

* 3.4 GPA or higher
* Involvement with Formula SAE or similar extracurricular activities, strong communication skills, ability to work within diverse teams
