Position Overview

The HR Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive, high level HR support and customer service to team members in the area of compensation, talent acquisition, HR systems, basic employee relations, policy administration and high level transactions.

In addition, the HR Specialist will work with the HRSC manager to analyze trends and identify solutions to help develop and implement process improvements in the HR department's service and support to teams. The HR Specialist will also partner with the Centers of Excellence to be a subject matter expert on various projects and initiatives and also be the liaison between the business COEs and HRBPs on the roll out of projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide superior customer service to team members by promptly responding to their inquiries, achieving established customer service and performance related measures. Interpret standard administrative procedures and practices, escalating non-routine matters to appropriate individuals in the Centers of Excellence
* Perform high level transactional and HR administrative activities related to background checks, store transitions, store closures, reasonable accommodations and exit interviews.
* Maintain appropriate records relating to team member inquiries. Process incidents with the aim of improving efficiency, productivity, and delivery of hassle-free service to team members system wide.
* Advises team members and management on the interpretation of policies, programs, and procedures.
* Investigates basic team member complaints and works with ER Specialists to respond and resolve, elevating serious or complex issues to the ER Specialists and ER/Compliance Manager.
* Partner with COEs including talent acquisition, compensation, HRIS, and benefits to participate in programs and initiatives in order to provide best-in-class HR support to business partners
* Partners with respective HR Business Partner on various performance management and succession planning projects
* Play an active role training the business on HR operational processes and procedures
* Perform related administrative duties such as preparation of reports, special projects and other duties as required.

* 3-5 years experience
* Bachelor degree or equivalent
* Human Resources experience in the area of recruiting, systems, HR projects or employee relations
* Excellent telephone, written and verbal communications skills necessary.
* ADP or similar experience preferred. Microsoft Office experience required.
* Ability to research and analyze various types of data
* Ability to make recommendations to resolve problems by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, and state and federal law.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills to include training presentation skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to flex communication style to all levels of an organization.
* Ability to multi-task and drive results in a fast-paced, complex environment.
* Ability to handle difficult customers and to facilitate service recovery to maintain the reputation of the HR Service Center Team is required.

* Working hours may include shifts that require coverage until 6pm Central and weekends
