Job Description

Fluid Line Products, Inc Designer and Manufacturer of fluid Power Components has an Immediate opening for a sales specialist. the Fluid Power Industry Known as the "Hidden Giant" is a 17 billion dollar a year industry.

The company is selling through the U.S. and Canada with some sales to foreign divisions of U.S. companies. Products are manufactured in Willoughby, Ohio and used on Hydraulic systems, internal combustion engines, heating ventilation, air conditioning, and Refrigeration with over 600 active customers. The company has seen 40 years of sales activity. Products are built to customer specifications or designed by our engineering department. Many of our customers are fortune 500 customers and rely on our manufacturing expertise to control their costs. Successful candidates will join a team of five company sales specialists looking for an annual growth rate of 15%. Only candidates with a four year degree will be considered.


  • Must be able to work in the highly structured business environment.
  • Must be willing to travel 30% 40% of the time in the U.S. and Canada. Company paid travel expenses, meals and lodging.
  • Multi-state territory as a base and unlimited opportunities to expand sales in other self developed areas.
  • Salary Plus Commission.
  • Company sponsored benefits include paid vacation, paid holidays, 401k plan, and profit sharing.


  • 4 year degree required for consideration
  • Sales activity requires two important qualities; Responsiveness and Follow-up. They are Critical.
  • Comfortable conversing with customer product design engineers and buyers. Each discipline has its' own objective.
  • Keen sense of mechanical aptitude - understanding how mechanical products are designed and function.
  • Organizational skills- setting up trips, visits to contacts, logistical planning, sales follow-up
  • Will train to recognize and promote business opportunities.
  • Products knowledge will be accumulated over time with the help of our company design engineers.
