The FLEX Smart & Connected (FSC) business unit will take greater advantage of growing market opportunities with pre-designed, tested, certified, packaged, and roadmapped technology components, products, and product development platforms. FSC is seeking a CoOp having an interest in developing experience and their skills in any or all of the following areas:

* Internet Of Things (IOT) Product Marketing
* IOT Product Development / Engineering

The team is looking for someone who is currently pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with a focus on solving technical problems. We can provide on-the-job experience working in an energetic and fun Flex-supported startup in which you will gain exposure to all facets of product development, product business model development, gathering information/learning from and meeting Flex customers, participating in launching a product to the target customer base, and hopefully experiencing the sense of accomplishment and success associated with a sketch-to-scale product rollout.

Desirable skills and capabilities include:

* A can-do attitude and genuine willingness to help get things done.
* A strong interest in learning more about Internet/Intelligence of Things products and technologies and/or wearable electronics.
* Passion for solving new, difficult, and complex problems.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Familiarity with lifecycle product development and or product engineering.
* Should be self-motivated and confident.
* Be a strong team player.
* Have a reasonable understanding of how to apply Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word to business and or technical problems.
* Support the hardware development for new products; develop, modify, and evaluate electronic parts, components, and integrated circuits.
* Perform root case analysis and implement solutions for electrical engineering and system issues.
* Assist team with component selection, layout, and design documentation.
* Research, prototype, design, and execute on product development projects.

Minimum Requirements:

* Currently enrolled and pursuing degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field from an accredited university
* Available for 4-6 months
* Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA

* Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
* Ability to work in teams and collaborate with others
* Self-motivated, high energy, and strong time management skills
