Job Description

Run portfolios, trade proposals, trade recaps, etc in industry software such as Yield Book. Assist the group in collecting and presenting data for the monthly Mortgage Strategy publication. Conduct market research, including data collection, data entry, regression analysis, etc. Perform administrative functions for the group such as scheduling and answering phones during extremely busy periods, etc.

This is a part-time temporary opportunity

Requirements Pursuing a degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or accounting that demonstrates the ability to analyze financial reports and economic data related to securities issued by state and local governments and their agencies.

* Good communication capability with particular emphasis on concise written reports backed up by analysis as necessary.
* Self-directed worker with minimal need for daily instruction on key tasks.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks as market shifts alter priorities and work flow.
* Ability to perform complex analysis in a trading floor environment.
* Computer and data base management skills; an excel certification is preferred.
