Position Description Overview

First Data's Operations and Call Center functions are focused on providing the outstanding client service, support and experiences that are critical to our ongoing success. Our Operations owner-associates are responsible for the stability of our global network infrastructure by helping our financial institution clients with various aspects of transaction processing, including statement management, card production and ticket-issue resolution. This internship will support our Omaha Operations with a laser sharp focus on engagement and employee retention. The intern will work hand-in-hand with a strong team of HR Generalists and various HR Centers of Excellence.

Job Responsibilities

* Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources in support of our Operations busines, the HR Intern will gain exposure to a full suite of Human Resources team activities in order to broaden his/her familiarity with the practical application of Human Resources. Our intern will learn about how to provide guidance, advice, and support to assigned business unit employees and managers on all functional areas of Human Resources management. Specific exposure areas including but not limited to: HR Policies and Procedures, HR Reporting and Analysis, Employee Relations, Program Management, Talent Acquisition, EEO/AAP guidelines and administering effective human relations programs that support the company's corporate objectives. The intern will move between HR Generalist areas, talent acquisition and the HR Service Center in order to provide a broad and enriching experience. The desired outcome would be that the intern would gain a comprehensive knowledge of how Human Resources is conducted in a Fortune 500 environment.

Job Requirements

* Currently pursuing a Bachelors in Business Administration or Human Resources - Ideal candidate will have traits such as high-energy, flexible, problem solver, and detailed that is accustomed to managing multiple priorities at once. - Candidate must be proficient in Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. - Works on a variety of Human Resource matters, spanning all HR centers of expertise with a high level of focus on operations roles including production, call center, and front line employee engagement. - PeopleSoft, OASIS, HR Help Desk
