Job Description

The primary function will be to assist with all training aspects and work closely with all facets of FirstBank Mortgage and our business partners in training and developing our employees. This position can be located in Birmingham, AL or Nashville, TN.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

* Track and monitor required quarterly and yearly testing.
* Track and monitor training of all employees.
* Notify employees and their managers of when required courses are due and follow up for past due courses.
* Assist in coordinating in-person or Webex classes: Sites, rooms, times and accommodations. Send out pre-class invitations.
* Assist Training Coordinator with needed reports.
* Assist Training Coordinator with course development.
* Builds relationships and communicates with all areas of FirstBank Mortgage to assist in their training needs.
* Any other efforts that are needed to assist the Training Department and First Bank Mortgage.


To perform each duty successfully in a fast paced environment. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge and skills required.

Education and/or Experience

* 2 + years' experience in Mortgage
* Familiarity with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and USDA websites
* Excellent communication skills: Listening, Written and Verbal
* Associates or college degree preferred.
* Training and Teaching experience is a plus.

Language Skills

Must have the ability to effectively present information in a simple, logical and brief manner and respond to questions from managers and internal associates.

Computer Skills

Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Access. Knowledge of loan origination systems and/or MortgageBot or Encompass, preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities

* Must be organized in planning, implementing projects and tasks within specified timeframe.
* Able to solve problems on their own. Willing to learn, access and operate systems by themselves.
* Time management skills demonstrating flexibility, adaptability and ability to manage multiple tasks that are time sensitive.
* Demonstrate self-discipline and self-motivation
