Role Overview

We are seeking to recruit a motivated and dedicated individual as a Marketing Assistant. This role will operate on the front-line of FT Live's relationship with delegates. You will be responsible for ensuring that we consistently attract the highest quality delegates to our events as well as provide a premium customer services experience.

This role will support marketing and sales with new prospect research.

This role will be a part of the Marketing function, a key part of FT Live's 'Premium Experiences' strategy.

What will I be responsible for?


* Building Knowledge & Expertise: understanding the market, our customers and how our product meets their needs

* Grow an extensive knowledge of the key players and organisations, with a view to ensuring you have the right people and seniority in the room

* Liaising with counterparts and help to refine the research to progressively improve our targeting

* Help marketers to secure appropriate media partners for events and assist with fulfilling contractual obligations


* Deepening relationships with customers, executing awareness of relevant events and on boarding customers

* Engaging with existing and prospective clients via the phone, email and sometimes direct mail, in order to raise awareness of events of relevance, and develop lasting relationships.

Customer Service

* Provide attentive and responsive customer service throughout the campaign by handling FAQs, troubleshooting and problem solving.

* Management of end-to-end customer communications and supporting technology to include joining instructions, at-event tech, surveys etc.

* Achieving KPIs, providing regular reports and feedback

* Assist with setting up at-event technology and pre-event materials

* Ensure automated emails have been set up and work with the marketer to proof these ahead of go-live.

What experience/skills do I need to be successful in this role?

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.

* Working knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM systems would be a bonus

* Strong organization and time-management skills

* Strong analytical skills and the proven ability to pay close attention to detail - Proven experience of providing administrative support

* A high degree of accuracy in work practices and ability to cope well under pressure

* Good telephone manner and customer service skills

* A flexible, adaptable and organized approach to work, exercising initiative and working independently as appropriate

* The ability to create, manage and maintain databases and write reports.
