About the team

Team of highly skilled professionals working daily to solve problems in financial services using data and analytics. The team is "the source" for business intelligence and product knowledge. Members possess a broad range of programming and analytic skills and drives new prototype solutions to the market. The team works closely with clients, IT, sales, management and other teams across the organization.

What you will be doing

As a 2019 Corporate Summer Intern with FIS, you will benefit from on the job training and mentoringalong with participation in team projects, social events,charity work, and professional development seminars. This is a full time (40hrs/week) paid internship that will begin on June 3, 2019 and conclude on August 9, 2019.

Interns will receive the opportunity to build professional relationships and enhance their interpersonal skills. As an intern, you should expect to own the following roles and responsibilities: Contribute individually and/or as a team member to support a designated functional area, analyze business processes, and work towards goals and objectives assigned byan experienced manager. Interns will also interact with and support business partners and participate in projects that directly impact business value.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

* Building predictive models using statistical and machine learning methodologies
* Creating analyses for internal stakeholders as well as clients
* Creating reports
* Summarizing and presenting findings to peer groups, senior management, and clients
* Determining relevant quantitative methods for solving client issues
* Sharing knowledge and learning from other members of the analytics team
* Evaluating and improving internal tools and processes

What you bring:

* Currently enrolled in a Masters Program for Statistics, Economics, Machine Learning/AI and graduating between December 2019 and Summer 2020
* Experience using analytical software such as SAS, R, Python, H20, KNIME, Tableau
* Understanding of statistical modeling techniques
* Ability to present results to decision makers in a clear and understandable fashion

Added bonus if you have:

* Familiar with Unix operating systems.
* Experience using scripting languages like PERL
