Job Description

Department Responsibilities: We are building an Analytics platform for the Cloud. This platform - Decision Management Platform - facilitates the rapid development of decisioning solutions and applications leveraging FICO IP in descriptive analytics, predictive models, business rules, mathematical optimization as well as the management and monitoring of strategies and decisions. We are looking for technologists with a passion for high performance software development and a desire to rapidly deliver cutting edge software products that delight users and drive revenue. The person filling this role will help design and develop the server-side software services necessary to support Decision Management Platform functionality. Position Description Roles and Responsibilities: Work in small, agile teams, designing & developing new features for FICO's cloud-based Decision Management Platform offering Working Conditions: Highly collaborative environment (ideally) co-located with other members of the Decision Management Platform team in FICO's San Jose office Work outside normal business hours sometimes required Travel 5-10%


Education and or Certifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, EE, statistics, operations research, or mathematics; a record of strong academic achievement is required Experience and Quaifications: Significant coursework in computer science and proficient in at least one high level object-oriented language (Java preferred) Technical Skills and Abilities: Proficient in web-based client and server software development Proficient in at least one scripting language such as Perl, Shell, Bash, Ruby, or Python Familiar with Linux at operating systems level, Windows 7 or 8 and/or Windows Server Hands-on experience with Java development tools; e.g., Eclipse, SVN, GIT, Maven, etc. Basic understanding of Continuous Integration Tools (CI Tools) such as Jenkins Some exposure to cloud computing, virtualization technologies, and big data Familiar with object-oriented design techniques and software design patterns Understanding of software development lifecycle processes and Agile development methodologies Ability to multitask, set priorities, show initiative, and respond quickly in a fast-paced collaborative environment Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team player comfortable working with geographically distributed teams WHY MAKE A MOVE TO FICO?
