Job Description

FCA's College Intern Program offers a unique opportunity for highly motivated, innovative, and inspiredindividuals to work in a challenging assignment where contribution, teamwork, and communication arevital to the success of the organization. Interns are assigned to an organization department based on the candidate's background, skill set andinterests. The assignments are project-oriented, meaningful to the department and allow the intern totake responsibility for a major task. Interns experience a sense of personal accomplishment andcontribution and experience the corporate business culture through work assignments and structuredactivities. They gain the communication and etiquette skills required in business while sharing knowledgegained from recent courses. They also enhance their computer skills and learn new systems and software.

Each intern assignment consists of challenging projects with specific goals, providing opportunities forpersonal growth and development. Interns that demonstrate outstanding qualities may be invited backthe following year for a second internship or to interview for full-time positions in our various new hireprograms.

Summer internships are primarily located at the FCA US Headquarters and Technology Center in AuburnHills, Michigan, other facilities in the Detroit Metropolitan area, and Business Centers located throughoutthe country. Interns may qualify for a housing allowance and/or travel assistance. During the internship,interns will have the opportunity to participate in many activities designed specifically to enhance theirknowledge of FCA, our products and the metro Detroit area.

The Portfolio Planning organization is responsible for setting the NAFTA Long Range Vehicle Product Plan for FCA, and coordinating with the global organization. This organization is highly strategic; requiring "out of the box" thinking in order to plan for the company's product future. Evaluation of market trends, customer interest, brand vision and competition are all analyses that need to be dissected in order to find the company's next opportunity. The Portfolio Planning Intern will help support a vehicle study program through the analysis of market, customer, competition, and other important factors to support strategic decisions in the overall product portfolio.

Basic Qualifications:

* Completion of sophomore of college year by summer of 2020 at an accredited university
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Strategic Management, International Business, or Marketing
* Strong interest in automotive industry
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Good interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Computer proficient (including spreadsheet, word processing and database applications)
* Creative / resourceful information mining and fact seeking skills
* Advanced analytical and PowerPoint presentation building skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* GPA of 3.0 or higher (based on a 4.0 scale)
* Majors: Automotive Marketing & Management
* Previous automotive internships/experience
