The Summer Internship Program is designed to enable students to gain hands-on work experience in an area related to their academic field of study or interest, while experiencing the unique environment and culture here at Ferring. Students accepted to the program will receive opportunities to build their knowledge while actively contributing to Ferring corporate objectives.

Summary: The Business Development and New Product Assessment department at Ferring is in search of a summer intern to assist with multiple strategic and tactical initiatives. The selected candidate will collaborate with members of the team on active projects. This is an exciting opportunity to learn, understand the inner workings of a pharmaceutical company, collaborate across multiple departments and make a valuable contribution by executing one or two well-defined projects.

Responsibilities (project/objective specific):

* Lead the implementation of a Crowd Sourcing web-based platform and reward system to source business development opportunities from the wider Ferring universe.
* Assist the business development Due Diligence head in implementing due diligence best practices including development of templates, diligence questionnaires for all functions etc.
* Learn the core rationale, responsibilities, and process of doing business development in a pharmaceutical company.
* Attend all team meetings as a core member of the business development team thru the summer.


* Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
* Ability to work well in a team environment across multiple disciplines and functions.
* Excellent word processing skills. Website design skills are preferred but not required.
* Drive, persistence, and ability to complete assigned tasks with high quality and on time.
* Curiosity and self-motivation to learn new concepts.
* Ability to complete the entire 10-week session (time off should be arranged before/after the program)
* Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above; college transcript required
* Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university
* Must be enrolled in a degree program the following semester (Fall 2019)
* Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
* At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
