What you'll do:

The Global Head of Total Rewards is an integral member of the human resources leadership team, reporting directly to our CHRO, Daniel Viens and is responsible for ensuring that compensation, benefits, and payroll strategy and execution are delivered in line with the organization's mission and objectives. He or she will bring a balance of progressive HR thinking and practices as well as tactical execution skills, to ensure the function continues to serve as a proactive, value-adding partner to the business.

Through a direct & indirect staff, the Global Head of Total Rewards will be responsible for the design enhancement, operation, communication and administration of a comprehensive reward strategy. This role will be tasked with the management of the total reward programs aimed at providing motivation and incentives to drive effective performance. The Global Head of Total Rewards will serve as the thought leader in developing solutions and new approaches to address employee compensation and benefits issues.

Key accountabilities include:

* Provide overall guidance, direction and leadership of all compensation and benefits programs globally.
* Drive the conceptualization, strategies, program development/design, implementation, and monitoring of results for all compensation & benefit programs globally (including base salary, short term incentives, long term incentives, stock administration) rewards & recognition and benefits (including life, health, disability, retirement etc.).
* Coordinate activities of vendors and consultants.
* Responsible for Executive Compensation Planning
* Collaborate with all lines of business, finance, legal and human resources to evolve and manage the effectiveness of the program.
* Regularly assess the internal equity and external competitiveness of the company's compensation and benefit program to ensure that the organization can recruit and retain top talent.
* Oversee the preparation of materials for the Board of Directors Compensation Committee (from data analysis to recommendation and implementation) including meeting documentation and presentations. Present recommendations to the Board of Directors Compensation Committee.
* Consult with and provide direction, guidance and resolution to global HR staff and managers on compensation and benefit issues. Drive compensation performance metrics throughout the organization.
* Coordinate with HR Operations and IT staff to ensure that the needed level of reporting and record keeping is developed and maintained (Workday). Ensure appropriate technology is maximized to administer all compensation and benefits programs.
* Keep apprised of local compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure corporate compliance within FDS global footprint.
* Manage the administration of the compensation review process.
* Manage participation in and the collection of external compensation and benefit survey data and competitive benchmarking for the Company's compensation and benefits programs globally. Conduct ad-hoc studies, analyses and evaluations to meet specific business needs.

Skills & Experience:

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of experience and a successful track record of leading the compensation, benefits & payroll function for a Global information services or technology organization. He/She will have experience leading, facilitating and interacting with seasoned senior leaders and leadership committees.

Required Skills:

* Proven track record in developing an innovative approach to compensation solutions to meet business challenges; and effectiveness in leading or participating in change initiatives at various organizational levels.
* Demonstrated experience serving as a strategic thought partner to CHRO and Senior Leadership Team with demonstrated analytic capabilities and extensive global remuneration experience.
* A subject matter expert who can create and drive a vision to be communicated throughout the organization to ensure understanding of all complexities.
* Strong business acumen and the ability to influence and develop strong working relationships with several constituencies, including executives, line management and HR business partners.
* Experience with financial analysis including economic analysis, cost/benefit analysis or other actuarial analysis exposure is beneficial.
* A strong grasp of all tax, accounting and regulatory issues that pertain to executive compensation.
* Strong knowledge base of all aspects of global Compensation and Benefits program design, implementation and communication.
* Extensive practical knowledge of a wide variety of compensation techniques, theories, programs and plans including cash compensation, merit programs, incentive/variable compensation and rewards and recognition etc.
* Knowledge of Health & Welfare/Wellness and Retirement Plans.

Nice to have/Soft Skills:

* Although it is critical that this HR talent have proven compensation and benefits experience with an organization recognized for developing strong HR senior leaders in the function; human resources generalist, consulting and/or earlier complementary experience in finance, legal, operations is desirable.
* An individual with a high level of energy/results orientation, superior discretion and judgment, analytical, hands on with excellent communication skills.
* Possess the ability to quickly adapt to change and new priorities.
* Roll-up-the-sleeves approach -- must be able to effectively manage a team.


The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree. An advanced degree is strongly preferred.
