Job Description

As a Security Program Manager Intern, you will lead planning and/or implementation of projects related to regulatory, customer, and corporate security requirements. A Security Program Manager Intern is responsible for managing a project and guiding its overall direction. You must interact with Project Sponsors, Technical Program Managers and multiple cross-functional Teams to deliver security best practices throughout product lifecycles. You should drive products development and business units to adhere to compliance programs such as GDPR, ISO27001, IS027018, SOC 2 and PCI program as appropriate. You will engage with management to ensure proper security considerations are taken into account when making decisions. You should be organized and able to meet deadlines as defined in the project. A Security Program Manager Intern has to know how to develop, define and report on project health and success metrics. They are expected to attend regular meetings and give regular progress reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage and lead project teams to define the scope, timeline, hardware, software and resource allocation requirements to ensure the successful delivery of high-impact cross-functional, strategic Security programs and operational initiatives



Develop and implement project management procedures and methodologies to achieve business goals with defined success criteria and lead teams to develop, evaluate, and revise project processes

Identify project risks and drive the implementation of recommended mitigation solutions

Drive cross-functional and effective communications throughout the program lifecycle, providing the visibility and transparency required to ensure cross-functional team and stakeholder alignment

Ensure completion of post-implementation handoff, successfully delivering of customer support for concurrent initiatives and projects

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience working independently with individuals across various levels



Experience managing priorities and simultaneous/concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment

Communication and organizational experience

Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* SANS or CISSP certification in areas of Security strategy & roadmap development, Enterprise security, Access Management, and Risk Management



Intent to return to full-time degree program after completion of the internship.

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
