Job Description

This team is tasked with crafting world-class marketing research for the world's largest marketers. In this role you will pair your analytical skills with Facebook's unique data set to surface insights that help advertisers identify and connect with consumers that matter.

You will combine your data-driven thinking and deep understanding of Facebook's marketing platform to help develop advertising best practices. You're a doer, who loves to ship ideas that will impact our biggest partners as well as 2 billion+ people on Facebook.

If you have a strong interest in people and desire to illuminate consumer behavior and help your clients connect with customers in an impactful way, then this is the role for you.

This is a 12 week intern position located in our New York or Menlo Park office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Think creatively to conduct analyses and leverage Facebook's unique dataset to identify best practices and inform the development of advertising insights



Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to measure and communicate the effectiveness of online advertising

Contribute to establishment of data-driven recommendations across creative development, audience targeting, and delivery optimization via data analysis and experimental design

Scope solutions and/or develop tools to make your work scalable

Package these insights effectively for both internal and external audiences

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Pursuing BS, BA or MS graduating between December 2019-August 2020 in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, or similar quantitative field



Ability to design analytical models and mine structured and unstructured datasets

SQL, R, relational databases, and Excel skills

Ability to communicate technical and creative ideas to a broad range of audiences

Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience with statistical analysis and experimental design



Experience with distributed computing tools (Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Python etc.)

Experience with primary research

Hands-on research/consulting/marketing analytics/brand marketing experience (ideally with a focus on the technology)
