Faber-Castell USA, headquartered in Valley View, Ohio is currently seeking the talents of an experienced National Sales Account Manager possessing the determination and enthusiasm to manage key accounts and target new business. The NSAM's focus will be on creating and executing a strategic plan for growing existing accounts as well as finding, securing and establishing new accounts and opportunities.


  • Creating and executing strategy to expand the Faber-Castell USA brands into new brick and mortar and online key accounts
  • Developing sales plans and strategies for managing and growing the existing customer base and aligning those strategies with Faber-Castell USA marketing initiatives
  • Effectively negotiate with buyers to secure best possible brand plans and positioning
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Development, Sourcing and Logistics to ensure the success of our business partnerships
  • Create and successfully facilitate sales presentations that demonstrate an understanding of our target markets and consumers with emphasis on product quality and point of difference
  • Gather and submit comprehensive and meticulous business information for proposals, pricing, and presentations to prospects
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, and follow-up activities
  • Clear and consistent communication of customer feedback to Sales, Marketing and Product Development teams
  • Actively participate and help direct the annual sales budget process and ensure adherence to monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Analyze, evaluate and improve the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs and results
  • Identify and execute best in class merchandising standards to maximize sales potential through increased revenue and gross profit for our customers
  • Meet all customer needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines
  • Attend and participate in sales and marketing events such as trade shows, sales meetings and other customer events
  • Attend monthly inventory forecast meetings and provide detailed sales forecast data for key accounts
  • Embody the behaviors of the Faber-Castell USA effective teamwork model inside and outside the organization


  • Three to five years of Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) sales experience, preferably within the art, craft, toy, hobby, fine art or creative markets
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • Key account management experience in retail: Mass Market, Hobby/Craft, Amazon, Discount Clubs, Grocery and/or Drug
  • Exemplify a magnetic personality with versatile selling ability with the proven track record to achieve sales goals
  • Have a solid understanding of the retail marketplace including market trends and key industry players
  • Dynamic speaking and presentations skills with the ability to persuade and influence others
  • A true team player that emphasizes team over self and defines success collectively
  • Self-motivated and diligent, constantly thinking of the next step and the next opportunity
  • Interpersonally aware with sound judgement and strong intuition, especially related to the subtleties of group dynamics
  • Consistently projecting a positive company image by maintaining polished and professional appearance and attire
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes 40-50% travel
  • Must be self-sufficient in handling administrative details, proficient MS Excel & PowerPoint Skills required
  • Ideal candidate will be based in Cleveland and work at the Faber-Castell USA HQ. Regional proximity to Cleveland (Cincinnati, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Toledo) considered
