Job Description

An Inside Sales Account Manager will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making phone calls each day generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales. The Inside Sales Account Manager works cooperatively with other members of the sales and distribution team to grow existing customer base, prospecting and selling new customers to meet or exceed monthly sales quotas at the appropriate gross margin while increasing customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Generate new sales opportunities with existing customers by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
Increase sales and repeat business by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items.
Prospecting assigned territory for new opportunities.
Contacting inactive customers to get them back to a normal pattern of ordering.
Determine customer needs & requirements in order to recommend specific products and solutions.
Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns.
Quotes- Pricing Negotiations
Communicate with specific departments on new product requests and availability
Follow up with customer orders and deliveries
Follow up on new leads from catalog requests, web inquiries, incoming calls and various other avenues.
Maintain customer relationships
Update and maintain customer files/records
Remain current on consumer preferences by attending sales meetings and vendor/product training sessions.

Required Qualifications:
1 year of proven sales experience
Positive attitude and professional image
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to turn objections into business opportunities
Must be results oriented and self-motivated
Works productively with a wide range of people- a team player
Positive attitude and professional image

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the Plumbing or HVAC industry preferred but not required
Experience working in an environment where your salary is composed of Base Salary + Commission paid based on achieving a sales quota.
SAP knowledge and experience a plus
