Job Description

Position Scope:

This position will play a significant role in the carrier commission revenue accounting process in order to streamline and enhance revenue forecasts and collections capabilities. This individual should be comfortable using customized software solutions in a high transaction volume environment and have a deep understanding of the importance of process and controls as they relate to commission accounting. The candidate should also have advanced skills and extensive experience with Microsoft Excel 2010 including manipulating large datasets and complex formulas. A highly responsible and motivated individual will find the ability to quickly adopt to change and make a significant impact in the organization, due to the growing nature of the business.

Responsibilities:

Develop new as well as enhance and improve existing software written in C#, ASP.NET MVC Framework (or other open-source MVC frameworks)

Primarily back end development, with occasional front-end web development

Design and present projects to improve current process and overall platform

Code and test projects

Attend meetings and training as required

Function as a Technical Lead as required

Work with product management for the successful completion of projects

Follow established department procedures, policies, and processes

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

1 years of software development

1 years of ASP.NET and C#

1 years developing with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax

Excellent problem solving abilities

Organize and prioritize individual workload in order to meet required deadlines

Communicate effectively with team members, team leads, and on occasion with clients

Work as a member of a team, accept ownership of work and actively contribute to team discussions

Excellent decision-making skills

Working knowledge of object oriented software design

Working knowledge of unit testing

Preferences:

ASP.NET MVC Framework

Some knowledge of standard ETL practices

Xunit, NUnit, MSTest

Continuous Integration

Git

WCF

Entity Framework

Familiar with Lean methodologies (Kanban)

Working Knowledge of design patterns

Some experience with test driven development
