Customer Service Representative, Temporary Position - approx 6 months

Customer Delight. Face of the company to the customer. Conveys customer needs internally and works through the factory to achieve them via quoting, order entry, providing status, developing a relationship, and other related activities.

What You Will Do

* Ensures Esterline Trade Compliance practices are followed and in place for all customers within their realm. This includes Transaction Due Diligence, Technical Data Transfer, ensuring product classification is completed, export license screening, applying for export licenses if necessary, and other relevant tasks.
* Maintains a positive outlook in the face of any potential challenges - keeping both internal and external Customer Delight at the forefront of any interaction.
* Responds to customer RFQ's/RFP's by reviewing Mason system for pricing, lead time, previous quotes for comparison purposes. Works with finance to launch pricing analysis if necessary. Recommends pricing decision, where necessary/appropriate, to Manager for review. Finally quotes customer via Mason system.
* Handles follow-up or response to quote by negotiating with customer on price and/or delivery issues prior to order placement. Involves inter-departmental contact and interface with own dept prior to final response to customer.
* Reviews/Edits all purchase orders or contracts and/or Amendments to same, checking price & delivery details against Mason Quote etc. Checking special ship methods or Instructions and delegation requirements for Quality/Inspection or packaging.
* Manages, when necessary, customer portals to include retrieving purchase orders, accepting/rejecting purchase orders, quoting, and updating online order status books.
* Finally completing & filing order entry. Ensuring all orders are entered in a timely fashion and where entry is not possible yet works with planning to protect lead time.
* Receives and checks customer complaints & inquiries conferring with Production, Quality, Engineering, and/or Shipping personnel to trace or expedite delayed or missing shipments related to any open or closed orders.
* Performs related duties of which the above may be representative.
* Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above
* Understand and live by Esterline's ethics and business conduct policies

What You Will Bring

* A minimum education of a high school diploma or equivalent.
* A minimum of 5 years professional experience in a customer interface role.
* Additional education will be considered in lieu of work experience.
* Familiarity with Order Entry System (s) & Aerospace Industry Procurement Practices
* Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
* Proactive, positive and customer focused attitude
