Job Overview (includes but not limited to):

  • Full life-cycle development of Forwarding for Ericsson's next generation of IP routers (Smart Services Routers)
  • Features related to L2/L3/BRAS protocols
  • Prototyping, pre-studies, feasibility studies, architecture related to SDN, Virtualization, Caching, and other technologies (focus is related to data-plane)
  • Forwarding applications and infrastructure (i.e. memory management, threads, look-ups, chip bring up, common application services, etc / infrastructure for ACL, TCAM, PBR, CGNAT, Mirroring, etc
  • Terminating Forwarding Abstraction Layer (FABL)
  • Linux and OS infrastructure
  • Common services for multiple applications
  • Specific applications such as L2, L3, MPLS, Multicast, BNG


Key Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, enhances, maintains and documents assigned functions of a low to moderate complexity product suite.
  • Performs low to moderate complexity subsystems level unit integration and development tests.
  • Works from detailed specifications to develop or modify systems within the suite of products but may also create specifications on smaller components.
  • Contributes to small subsystem architecture design and writes functional specs.

 

Technical Skills Requirement

  • Develops low to moderate complexity, multiple modules of code (with supervision).
  • Writes and/or provide input portions of design specs.
  • Writes complex automated test scripts.
  • Debugs problems of moderate scope at the subsystem level.
  • Regularly enhancing or acquiring new technical or professional expertise

 

Soft Skills Requirement

  • Interacts well with team leaders, peers, subordinates and senior management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Shares information and communicates clearly to team members
  • Develops clear and concise written documents.
