Job Description

Equifax is seeking their next bright Data Scientist to join our team. You will conduct Big Data analytics and builds solutions for standard large data problems and business problems under management guidance (combining large datasets, optimizing code, developing insights). You will be tasked with executing standard programming code in SAS, R, or Python. You will be able to analyze time complexities and develop basic algorithms while working on moderate complexity tasks in problems within multiple business domains across the enterprise.

* Perform analyses and contribute to and support the development of risk and marketing solutions for Equifax customers.


* Conduct statistical analysis under the supervision of a manager-level analyst
* Extract and process data from multiple sources and platforms as required for analytical projects
* Primarily perform business/marketing intelligence analysis, score validations, score audits, and also support model development initiatives.
* Generate ways to solve analytical problems creatively and efficiently; review with manager-level analyst
* Ensure quality deliverables for all work performed by checking process followed and thinking through the output to ensure it makes business sense
* Perform audits surrounding implementation of products and analytic solutions
* Perform QA analysis on solutions developed by other statisticians
* Create business intelligence visualizations of insights for customers and of data asset summaries for data quality assessments
* Constantly search and be on the lookout for ways to improve and share information

Position Requirements

* Undergraduate degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or other quantitative discipline - Master's degree a plus
