Job Description

The Junior Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, and implementation of software solutions, and for making enhancements to existing systems or new product offerings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Design and implement custom software development and system enhancement efforts and ensure that corporate quality standards are met
* Ensure software development is done in a manner that assures long term reliability and maintenance
* Perform software development to written technical specifications and coding guidelines
* Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents
* Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses
* Create and maintain technical documentation
* Investigate, analyze, and document reported defects
* Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects
* Initial duties may include reviewing code, writing documentation, and following test procedures

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent discipline, or at least 1+ years' professional experience in software development

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

* Adaptable to new languages, methodologies, and platforms to meet the needs of the project
* Strong technical skills including an understanding of software development principles
* Ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment and learn new concepts and software
* Experience in .NET (latest version), Object-Oriented Design, SQL Server (latest version), Transact-SQL, and service based design principles
