Job Description




This position is responsible for developing content for any assigned divisions, audiences, and brands within the Envision Healthcare portfolio. The candidate would write, edit and coordinate integrated content efforts while working collaboratively with the content team, digital strategy, team, graphic designers, audience/brand leaders, and all relevant company stakeholders to produce compelling content within brand standards.




  • Gathers appropriate information from Company thought leaders and subject matter experts through interviews, emails, conference calls, and other appropriate modes of communication
  • Researches best practices and executes content for websites, news articles, blogs, case studies, white papers, eblasts, trade shows, speaking opportunities, clinical presentations, and conferences, direct mail campaigns, webinars opportunities, and other relevant content marketing types to elevate the brand
  • Collaborates with designers, brand owners, sales professionals, and external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audiences
  • Manages and maintains project management schedule and tasking, utilizing web based tool
  • Collaborate with the content team on workload distribution, content strategy and projects, following and continuously improving upon our agile methodology
  • Revises work based on constructive criticism and feedback
  • Provides feedback to other contributors and edits other writers’ content
  • Participates in company committees, work groups and Kaizen events, as needed
  • Daily editing, utilizing AP style/corporate style, of all messages that are referred to the Marketing department
  • Executes efforts that grow the audiences of the Envision Healthcare channels. Participate in the development of these campaigns. Audiences include external (hospital C-suite members and directors, nursing leadership, potential partners, referring physicians, etc.) and internal (partners, center leaders, operations, employed physicians and allied health professionals, corporate staff, etc.)
  • Plan, coordinate, participate in events as assigned
  • Other communication projects as needed
  • Regular and reliable attendance required

  • High level of project management and organizational skills
  • Creativity and exposure or experience with multi-media marketing communications
  • Strong writing and copy editing abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere including direct interaction with top executives




Bachelor’s degree in English, advertising, communications or other degree with a strong emphasis in written and verbal communication skills from an accredited college or university with a minimum of three (3) years of professional business experience.


Master’s in writing a plus.


Mathematical Skills:


Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages.


Language Skills:


Ability to understand, read, write and speak English.  Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.  Ability to successfully write business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions and professionally interact with managers, employees, clients, vendors and the general public.


Reasoning Ability:


Ability to recognize and define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and correct errors.  Ability to understand and interpret basic financial data.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in a variety of forms and deal with abstract and concrete variables.


Other Qualifications:

Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner.  Must be able to work well with others.  Strong verbal and written communication skills required.  Must be detail oriented and organized.  High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information.  Must be able to exercise good judgment and positively influence and lead others, including handling confrontations with poise and efficiency.  Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends as approved in advance.
