JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Responsible for Major Fleet Project’s execution of the Corrective Action, Operating Experience, Assessment/Benchmark and Trending Programs to meet or exceed industry standards of excellence.

 

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Oversight and support of Major Project’s Corrective Action Program to include: Condition Report Screening, dissemination of Condition Report and Corrective Action status tracking reports, supporting cause evaluations and corrective action development.  Observes and ensures compliance with Corrective Action Program procedures and policies.

2. Oversight and support of Major Project’s Assessment/Benchmarking program to include, report quality, completeness and timeliness.  Provides feedback to improve work processes. Observes and ensures compliance with Assessment/Benchmark Program procedures and policies.

3. Oversight and support of Major Project’s implementation of the Trending Program to include, periodic evaluation of trends associated with the Corrective Action process, Assessments/Benchmarks, and support departments CFAMs trimester reporting.  Observes and ensures compliance with Assessment/Benchmark Program procedures and policies.

4. Oversight and support of Major Project’s implementation of the Operating Experience Program to include; screening, dissemination of tracking reports on evaluations and actions.  Observes and ensures compliance with Operating Experience Program procedures and policies.

5. Development and implementation of department time saving office software tools and processes for implementation of Corrective Action, Assessment/Benchmark, Trending and Operating Experience programs. 

6. Represent the organization and interface with the Program Improvement organization and Program Improvement Review Groups in performance of department activities associated with the Corrective Action, Assessment/Benchmark, Trending and Operating Experience Programs. 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
B.S. Degree in Engineering or related technical degree may be credited for up to 4 years of experience, or equivalent work experience.

 

Minimum experience required of the position
6 years nuclear power experience in an Engineering or Technical area.

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation.

Desired: Familiar with industry recognized cause analysis methods and techniques, Trending, Assessment/Benchmark and Operating Experience processes;

Working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint. 

 

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
Desired: Causal Analysis certification or training.
