Job Description

This position requires a broad skill set to develop, deploy, and maintain software and hardware for new and replicate automated test systems. The qualified candidate will travel internationally to work with manufacturing facilities located in Puerto Rico, Switzerland and Singapore to ensure the automated test systems at these facilities and total test solutions are always functional and ready for production test of medical devices. Looking for a Test Engineer that will accept the challenge of developing and leading a team that is intensely focused on creating a workplace environment which reflects our standing as the world's top medical device company. The person that takes this role will be expected to play an active role in developing and implementing Test Systems and Test Applications that will align and drive our business, innovation and talent demands of the future. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the patients we serve and an unrelenting desire to improve our business. The candidate will be well versed in software tools, be familiar with electro-mechanical concepts, and must have exceptional soft skills that will be used to work with and influence different cultures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: The selected candidate will be responsible for Test system and Test application development and verification and validation of new and existing solutions. The candidate will drive continuous improvement projects to increase reliability of released solutions and improve sustainability and obsolescence of existing solutions. The candidate will also be the subject matter expert and liaison to High Volume Facility customers.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or other Engineering degree. Two years' experience with a Bachelor's Degree or Entry level with a Master's Degree. Knowledge of National Instruments Test Stand and LabVIEW Desired Qualifications. Good organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication. Participate in project, hardware, and software reviews. Provides field support to global customers and clients. Executes system integration tests. Performs system verification and validation tests ensuring the behavior of the system meets stakeholder needs and intended use. Able to travel 25% of the time. International travel is required. (passport required). Mechanical Assembly/Disassembly. People skills to understand cultural differences, adapts quickly, and collaborates effectively. Lab bench analysis skills, i.e., Oscilloscope and circuit failure analysis skills.
