Position Description:

This summer internship will assist the Internal Audit department management's goal to plan, execute, and report audit assignments as set forth in the annual audit plan approved by the Supervisory Committee, assist with ongoing monitoring controls, designated projects, and consulting opportunities.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assist audit staff with audits of operations, branch locations, lending, finance/accounting, and other areas as necessary
* Verification of documents to stated standards
* Inventory and reconciliation of cash and negotiable items
* Document and verify work performed through the use of electronic work papers
* Perform financial calculations and analysis
* Assist Director of Risk Management and Compliance Officer with administrative duties as needed

Job Requirements:

* General computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Good verbal and written communications skills
* Good organization ability
* Accounting/Finance degree candidate entering their senior year with at least 3.0 GPA


Summer Intern will work full time during the summer months May-August. Daily schedule: M-F 8:00 am-5:00 pm but may have some flexibility with daily hours worked.

Environmental, physical and psychological requirements:

* Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time in a climate controlled environment. Must be able to use fingers, hands, wrists for repetitive tasks such as typing, using a mouse, handling paper, currency, or coin, and operating a telephone. Demands for visual and auditory acuity are typical of an office environment. Must be able to interact via email, telephone, or in person with diplomacy, tact, and courtesy with all members under varying circumstances. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

* Summer Internship is only for 90 days
* Students are paid $12.50/hour
