PRIMARY FOCUS

Construction Engineering support of Canadian Projects with a focus on pre-construction planning


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare construction scheduling
  • Define Path of construction
  • Facilitate constructability reviews
  • Input to construction and contracting strategies
  • Recommend labour and shift strategies
  • Author original and or revise construction services procedures, manuals and forms.
  • Participate in construction risk identification and mitigation
  • Support of project records management and compliance, construction quality assurance and commissioning and start up.
  • Assisting Construction Services Team with complex and/or independently conducting basic investigations, reports, spreadsheets and presentations, e.g., estimates, constructability, outage planning support, change management,
  • Participating and presenting in technical, cross functional, and stakeholder meetings as a construction services team representative
  • Providing project field support during construction and commissioning activities
  • Champion for Contractor Safety Management
  • All mandatory safety and corporate compliance training to current at all times


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineering degree in an applicable discipline
  • Registration with a recognized Professional Engineering Association in Canada - APEGA or equivalent
  • EIT II with a minimum of four years of related experience, or a P.Eng preferably within Construction in the oil & gas industry
  • Aptitude and communications skills related to learning and developing in a variety of entry level assignments
  • Commitment to continuous technical learning and personal development
  • Salary and job level will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
