This position is responsible to perform duties associated with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of the pipeline, Right-of-Way, and related facilities.  This position will also provide emergency response support as required to address any pipeline emergencies.



  • Ensures all work is in compliance with Enbridge safety, environmental, and operating procedures.
  • Provides effective assistance in emergency response activities including containment, repair and cleanup.
  • Assures appropriate level of Emergency Preparedness through training and maintenance of equipment.
  • Provides support for other pipeline integrity programs (pigging, piping upgrades, sleeving, etc.).
  • Responsible for completing all applicable modules in PLM Learning Path.  Potential to take on the role of Learning Path assessor.
  • Ability to step-up into the Coordinator role in the Coordinator’s absence where required.
  • Ensures all First Calls, third party crossings, and locate requests are handled/marked promptly, accurately, and safety.
  • Assures that proper documentation is completed in all aspects of work as required.  (Driving, safety, excavation, QC, equipment, PM, Maximo, etc.).
  • Assists with QC documentation as required following completion of all work projects.
  • Operate all specialized pipeline repair equipment (compressor, impacts, pipe cutters, vapour tools, torque wrenches, pumps etc)
  • Perform pressure tests on piping sections
  • Install pipeline repair components such as stopple tees, sleeves, plidcos, weld plus couplings etc
  • Oversee pipeline excavations including completing required documentation
  • Perform required tank maint (isolation, repairs inspections etc) as required
  • Assist with pipeline tie-ins, valve maintenance, pump mods and other piping modifications as required.
  • Assisting with loading and pulling of smart tools as required.
  • Assist with maintenance activities on ROW (brushing, grass cutting, sign repair etc.)
  • Supervise foreign crossings and complete all documentation
  • Assumes the responsibility of lead hand/inspector as assigned directing PLM activities of a small group of contractors and equipment on various projects
  • This position will be a mix of office and field work, with frequent travels along the Right-of-Way and to various stations.  
  • Hours of work will vary depending on workload, emergency response, capital projects, and line schedules; availability for on-call hours will be required.





  • Completion of a high school diploma
  • Minimum of 5 years of related pipeline repair, maintenance and welding experience.
  • Experience in Heavy Equipment Operation.
  • Emergency response training and knowledge.
  • Good leadership, communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • 1-A Driver’s License.



  • Completion of a technical diploma or degree in engineering, maintenance, or pipelines
  • Attainment of Journeyman Welding Ticket
  • Salary and job level will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
