Job Description

Contributes to the success of Enable Midstream Partners (ENBL) by supporting the Economic Evaluation Group (EEG) which provides deal structuring guidance and valuations of all levels of capital and non-capital projects/transactions for ENBL's Commercial, Origination, Mergers and Acquisitions and Operations teams.

 

General responsibilities within standardized processes.  Works under limited supervision.  Resolves routine questions and problems.  Refers the more complex issues to higher levels.  Follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job.

 

Primary Duties:

-         Utilize pre-existing stochastic financial models that require an understanding of discounted cash flows, corporate finance and accounting to produce results used by our business partners to make financially impactful decisions

-         Utilize standard economic assumptions and financial models for all new projects with limited guidance from manager or senior analysts

-         Support senior analysts  in various aspects of commercial deal terms for new contracts, acquisition prospects and other projects based on detailed analysis, industry comparisons and understanding of ENBL business environment

-         Review term sheets to ensure accurate representation of the financial model and project proposals/contractual commitments; includes analyzing Authorization For Expenditures (AFEs) for management's approval

-         Create formal presentations for the project that include financial information, project risks, volume, commercial terms, etc.

-         Interact with other disciplines and functional groups to verify data accuracy and completeness

-         Track capital expenditure of board approved projects through the completion of construction

-         Assist in identifying industry trends and performing competitor analysis

-         Perform ad hoc financial and risk analysis as needed

 

Working Conditions:

-         Able to work in fast paced environment with high daily pressure to meet deadlines

-         Able to work a varied schedule to complete projects and meet deadlines in response to changing demands

-         Able to work overtime (scheduled and/or unscheduled, nights and/or weekends) occasionally, as needed or required to meet established deadlines

-         Able to sit and view computer terminal for extended periods of time

-         Able to travel, as needed

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, marketing, engineering or related discipline
  • CFA/MBA or other professional certificates/advanced degrees, particularly related to finance, economics, or quantitative disciplines preferred

 

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of progressive experience in financial analysis, risk analysis, business analysis, etc.
  • Experience in the Midstream Industry (Interstate Pipeline and/or Gathering & Processing) is preferred

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented individual with a proven desire to own work and learn independently
  • Ability to effectively handle pressures and demands of deadlines
  • Proven aptitude for thinking critically and solving problems
  • Understanding financial modeling skills
  • Detailed understanding of discounted cash flow
  • Understanding of corporate finance
  • Knowledge of peer comparison analysis
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills
  • Understanding of Monte Carlo simulation
  • Ability to develop financial models using Crystal Ball or @Risk

 

Physical Conditions:

  • Able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
  • May be required to lift light objects
  • Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch for extended periods of time
  • Must have manual dexterity to use computer and office equipment
  • Ability to sit and view computer terminal for extended periods of time
  • Ability to travel, as required, to perform job responsibilities
